Roto-Clean : how does it work?

 

Roto-Clean consists of a dual-nozzle rotary bar driven by a patented centrifugal control integrated into a circular static-eliminator. The unique static-eliminator provides 360° ionisation of the air coming from the nozzles – for maximum static neutralisation.

The nozzles require no additional power source and rotate at 60rps to produce a pulsed airflow that hits the product up to 240 times per second, blasting away contamination from various angles to clean crevices.

This gives better cleaning than conventional nozzles and airknives, with lower air consumption.

It is important to clean static control equipment to maintain its efficiency. This applies to all static neutralisation and generation electrodes – Bars, Blowers, Guns and Airknives. Regular cleaning will also help to increase working life and improve overall performance.

The antistatic cleaning kit is designed to keep your static control equipment performing to the highest level. It consists of a brush and special cleaning fluid.

Static control products become dirty for three reasons:

  1. The strong electric field naturally attracts airborne dust and contaminants.
  2. Carbonisation of the air by the high voltage results in a deposition of carbon onto the body of the electrode.
  3. In some applications, such as coating and printing, the contamination may be from the ink or coating.

Some plastics applications produce gases which can cover the electrode with a conductive coating. Contamination reduces performance by diverting energy away from the emitter pins – the dirtier the ioniser, the less efficient it is. In some cases the contamination may overload the system, causing it to shut down.

4200 Single Point Ionised Air Nozzle

The 4200 single-point model projects ionised air at high speed toward the object.

Ionization destroys the static charge and allows the blowing of dust by air circulating at high speed.

Design designed to optimize neutralization of static electricity and blowing power, with minimum air consumption and noise.

The air nozzle is an amplifier of air circulation which multiplies it by a factor of 20 for a question of economy and reduction of noise. The air pressure can be adjusted from 1 bar for gentle ionization of the air circulation to 7 bar for removal of stubborn dust. At 4 bar pressure, the noise level is less than 68dBA.

All the critical elements are encased for a question of service life and first-rate reliability. All parts can be replaced in case of damage.
